Last weekend, I baked some cupcakes for a friend of mine. It was her stagette, and there was a ‘food party’ beforehand. The theme was Hawaiian/Tropical, and so I stole a few recipes and altered them a bit to concoct some delicious minicakes. Today, I brought them into work, cause it was Friday. These pictures had to do with it being Friday too.
We wanted to created a sort of crazy “cupcake eye” effect, but fell short when we ran low on ambition and interest. There was talk of making a sort of “Geordi LaForge” type eyeband with the cupcakes attached to it, but we then decided to do a careful balancing act with my eyes and the cupcakes. There was almost a cupcake accident, but all was well.
The vanilla/white cupcake is a Pineapple-Coconut cupcake with a Pineapple-Ginger Cream Cheese frosting and Candied Ginger. The chocolate one is a Peanut Butter filled Chocolate cupcake with a Rum-Chocolate Ganache and Carmellized Bananas. I will post the recipes if anyone wants to try them.

I notice that your lip piercing switched sides from one pic to the next… Any reason one pic is mirrored?
