Summer 2006 Obsessions:

  • cupcakes
  • reconstructing clothes
  • things colored hot pink
  • geology and the study of rocks and minerals and the components that make up our Earth

One of these things is not like the others. 🙁

Ooh! I love and am mildly obsessed with cupcakes too!

I have a reoccurring daydream where I open a bookshop/bakery named Curiosity and the Cupcake and sell delicious cupcakes and wonderful books.

you must know more than one leah : ) i also love cupcakes though and that one you have a picture of looks delicious. mmmmm! i want one now.

i disagree with mo. crave’s cupcakes were overpriced and overhyped. better cupcakes can definitely be made at home. yum! yum!

    nice seeing you last night!

I agree with Leah #2 about Crave’s cupcake. They are expensive and have a strange, crumbly, oily texture under six inches of toothachingly-sweet icing that drowns out the flavours they try to add. Yours looks much tastier and more manageable.
All that said, I can still eat one of Crave’s ‘Princess’ cupcakes (chocolate cake with strawberry icing) in ninety seconds. 🙁

If you ever come to Vancouver, the aptly named Cupcake has actually got great cupcakes. They sell milk in cartons too, just like in elementary school.
